Kiosk marketer Public Media Works is using 3D technology to take on Coinstar's redbox as a DVD dispenser, according to a profile of the firm in the business weekly North Bay Business Journal, serving Sonoma , Marin and Napa c ounties in California
Sausalito , Calif. -based Public Media Work's kiosks will feature a 3D screen and dispense or download a complete line of electronic media. The 15-employee firm plans to place 25,000 to 30,000 "media filling stations" in high-traffic locations over the next few years.
