Enhanced vending machines garner attention at trade show

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that a number of interactive self-service vending machines captured industry attention at this week's National Automatic Merchandising Association trade show, held in Chicago.

Along with traditional snack vending technology, self-service tools are beginning to appear in new-generation vending machines. Touchscreens are being used on soft drink machines to provide nutritional information. And digital-download kiosks and media buy/sell stations are also garnering attention, according to the report.
