Indiana county deploys birth certificate kiosk

Government Technology reports that Marion County, Ind., has deployed a government document kiosk that has reduced office staff workload by an estimated 5 percent.

The kiosk allows customers to search for and request unofficial copies of birth and death certificates. A spokesperson for the county said it plans to deploy more kiosks and expand their search capabilities to include information such as immunization records.
