Sharp to launch no-glasses 3D LCD screens

Digital Trends reports that electronics manufacturer Sharp plans to roll out a glasses-free 3D LCD screen near the end of 2010.

While initial versions of the screen may have limited use beyond handheld devices (Sharp is presently demonstrating a three-inch screen, and says the 3D effect works best at a specific fixed distance from it), the Digital Trends report notes that the company hopes to deploy the technology in larger handheld devices and viewscreens in the future.
