• DePaul University places bus-tracker kiosks for commuting students

The Roosevelt University Torch reports that DePaul University is now using a kiosk to help student track buses and schedules.
 
Used on DePaul's Loop campus, the kiosk project started last summer with an electronic scroll that displays the bus number along with the bus' location in the Loop using a touchscreen.
Amanda de la Guardia, a student, told the Torch she usually tracks bus information on her phone. But she might use the kiosk as a backup.
"It could be very useful for people who don't have Internet on their phone," Guardia said.
