ELO Touchsystems has announced it will exhibit a range of touch solutions for gaming applications at the annual International Gaming Expo in London Jan. 26-28.
ELO says it will showcase its new IntelliTouch Plus surface acoustic wave technology, which has achieved compatibility with Windows 7:
The new Elo TouchSystems IntelliTouch Plus touch technology has met all the Additional Qualification testing requirements established by Microsoft Corp. for Windows 7 multitouch interactivity. IntelliTouch Plus touch technology is based upon proven surface acoustic wave technology with over 20 years of reliable performance and millions of installations around the world. It accurately records two simultaneous touch locations anywhere on the screen with three axes of touch information, thereby overcoming many of the drawbacks of other multitouch technologies.
ELO says it also will exhibit its newest touch technology for sports betting applications, where pens sometimes are preferred to activate the touchscreen. The solution features acoustic pulse-recognition technology, which supports pens, fingernails and credit cards, in addition to normal fingertip touch input.
Also part of ELO's exhibit will be the company's new 1919L widescreen touchmonitor, which offers an 18.5-inch diagonal 16:9 aspect ratio display. The display features APR technology and a pure glass construction that ELO says provides superior optical performance, with scratch and mark resistance to pens. The product also features a "zero-bezel" flat glass surface to the edges and ensures an easy-to-clean screen, unlike typical touchmonitors with bezels.
