Warehouse club retailer Sam's Club has installed kiosks in more than 600 of its stores nationwide as part of its eValues program, a paperless coupons and offers system that the company says is the first of its kind in the club retail space.
According to a news release from Sam's Club, its members can look up eValues offers on the interactive kiosk and send an eValues shopping list from it to their iPhones, BlackBerrys or other smart phones. Members also can access their eValues accounts via samsclub.com.
Cindy Davis, executive vice president of membership, marketing and e-commerce for Sam's Club, says the program will help simplify the shopping experience for members:
"While our members save time and money every day at Sam's Club, we are excited to provide customized offers on products and services they need and want for their home or business through Sam's Club eValues. This program enables us to simplify our members' lives by eliminating the wasteful practice of couponing that requires consumers to do all the work. With eValues, we can ensure we are providing superior, more relevant offers based on member preferences."
The release says the eValue benefit is included in both the Advantage and Business versions of the Sam's Club Plus Membership, both of which cost $100 annually. Sam's Club estimates Plus members will save more than $200 additionally per year with eValues.
