Coinstar announces new president, other management shifts

The Wall Street Journal: Two former executives from redbox Automated Retail LLC have taken positions at the helm of redbox's new parent, Coinstar Inc., amid a management transition plan set into motion less than two months after the acquisition. On Monday Coinstar named former redbox chief executive Gregg Kaplan to succeed Paul D. Davis as president and chief operating officer. Davis, who became chief executive and a member of the board on April 1, said Kaplan would help boost the company's self-service operations and product expansion in the nascent self-service DVD rental category.
