NEWPORT-ON-TAY, Scotland — The Lincolnshire Police force is set to launch an ATM advertising campaign with U.K. banks to tackle over-drinking during the holidays. The campaign, which goes live Dec. 15, is using i-design's atmAd platform to deliver dynamic digital advertisements to the public via ATMs. According to a news release, the advertisements will run on High Street ATMs in city centers during evening hours, timed to reach people as they withdraw cash. The cash machine advertisements are part of a wider integrated campaign running across several mediums, including billboards and beer mats in South Lincolnshire. "It's easy to get unruly when in a festive mood, so this campaign aims to highlight how your actions, especially when drinking, could make the cost of your night out add up to more than you bargained for at Christmas," said Jo Toomey of the Lincolnshire Police. "We needed a cost-effective medium that could reach our target audience when they are out celebrating." The advertisements are expected to help the Lincolnshire Police reduce crime.
