Zoo and Aquarium Visitor: Coastal America, a partnership among federal, state and local governments and private alliances to collaboratively address environmental problems, recently demonstrated an interactive Ocean Today kiosk during its national ocean art contest in Washington, D.C. The kiosk is installed at five of the network's aquariums and will be installed at all 21 network aquariums through the commitment of Coastal America corporate partner Panasonic Corp. Each kiosk has a national feed of ocean news and video features, as well as key regional stories from each aquarium. Plans are underway to expand the kiosk to all Coastal Ecosystem Learning centers and their 25 million visitors.
