• Park & Pay kiosks replacing meters in L.A.

(Los Angeles)Angelenic.com: Los Angeles' Department of Transportation is replacing outdated single-space meters with street kiosks. Known as Park & Pay Stations, 140 of the kiosks appeared over the weekend. The stations accept credit cards and cell-phone payments, and users can receive a text message reminder 10 minutes before their time expires. The well-received program may be expanded in the future.
