Canadian airline disables credit-card use at kiosks

Globe and Mail: Airliner WestJet says it plans to disable credit-card readers that customers use at check-in kiosks at 28 Canadian airports. The precaution stems from a current investigation into the kiosks' security. Credit-card companies are conducting an investigation into the security of data that's inputted at 150 self-serve kiosks at Toronto's Pearson International Airport. The investigation was spurred by isolated patterns of fraud on cards used by people who had travelled through the airport.
