• United Airlines glitch shuts down check-in kiosks

Chicago Tribune: The computers handling United Airlines check-ins and reservations crashed companywide for several hours Friday, causing long lines at check-in counters as agents filled out tickets and baggage tags by hand. With its popular ticketing kiosks out of action, United's ticket agents had to process tickets for all outbound passengers by hand.
