FREMONT, Calif. — American Portwell Technology Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Portwell Inc., announced its new Wade-1120. The introduction features a compact fanless system with a tool-free design that allows the integrator or field-service engineer to release the top cover quickly and easily.

Designed with a built-in Mini-ITX-based embedded system board, the Wade-1120 is designed for any embedded application that operates in a harsh environment. It integrates with Portwell's Wade-8141, Intel ULV Celeron M-based (852GM chipset) or Wade-8144, Intel Pentium M-based (915GM chipset) Mini-ITX ESB, or a similar Mini-ITX ESB.
The Wade-1120 node chassis supports VGA, two LAN, three COM and four USB ports in a compact 190 mm x 170 mm x 50 mm (7.48˝ x 6.69˝ x 1.97˝) form factor that weighs a mere 2-2.5 kg (4.41-5.51 lbs).
Portwell's Wade-8141 is a Mini-ITX ESB for applications that need low power consumption. Built with the 600MHz ULV Intel Celeron M processor, the Wade-8141 generates the computing power necessary to support a host of embedded applications. Its dual-video feature also enables the use of two displays simultaneously, and its four COM and six USB ports provide an immediate interface to a wide range of peripherals.
Portwell's WADE-8144 Mini-ITX ESB is a network bandwidth-enriched solution. With its low power consumption Pentium M processor, it provides more than adequate computing power and also eliminates any heat issues. Dual-video outputs are supported by a two-channel memory structure that enhances graphic performance. Three GbE LAN ports provide the wide bandwidth necessary for communication or network-related applications. Portwell's new WADE-1120 fan-less system with WADE-8141 or WADE-8144 Mini-ITX ESB is available now. Portwell said it is the ideal solution for applications in kiosks, digital signage, automated test equipment, network appliances and medical equipment.
