National City offers to erase ATM fees

Fortwayne.com Strapped for cash and far from their bank's ATMs, consumers have little choice but to pay fees to use a competing machine. National City on March 5 launched three checking accounts to address that pet peeve. The Cleveland-based bank will allow customers who open one of the accounts to use any competitor's ATM for free.
