Photo kiosks gain popularity in Middle East Market

DUBAI — At a media preview at Kodak regional's headquarters in Dubai, Kodak unveiled its new range of kiosks, which allow customers to view, edit, personalize and print photographs.

According to a news release, the kiosks, which are designed to read images from CDs, computer memory sticks, camera memory cards or mobile phones via Bluetooth technology, are the latest development in Kodak's digital-services expansion program for the Middle East. Kodak Picture Kiosks are expected to be installed at more locations in coming years, including Kodak Express stores, hypermarkets, shopping malls and mobile-phone retail stores, to name a few

"There is an underlying desire today to save and cherish the many images we click with our mobile phones and digital cameras, but have limited options to print them. The Kodak Picture Kiosks will change this," said Arif Khan, Kodak's area business manager.
