Security Info Watch: The much-anticipated Registered Traveler program just moved a little further along. The Transportation Security Administration announced that it is setting an annual fee of $28 to handle background checks for Registered Traveler participants. Incorporated into the program is GE Security's SRT kiosk, which uses biometric identification to detect explosives. The kiosk checks the person and his shoes for threats.
