CHESHIRE, England — Interactive kiosk operator Felix Group PLC announced its takeover of 4Kiosk Solutions Ltd (4KS), a specialist digital kiosk company based in Derby. Felix also has appointed 4KS' managing director, Matt Talbot, as operations director. Talbot will oversee the rollout of Felix's MAX BOX kiosks.
Established in 2004, 4KS has successfully developed digital kiosk applications focused around mobile pre-paid top-up, mobile content vending and instant photo printing solutions. The company also specializes in developing original software for the interactive kiosk market, and designs kiosk hardware and bespoke cabinets. 4KS currently has a number of its own kiosks deployed in retail outlets in the midlands and has a trial underway with Spar (UK) convenience stores.
Felix will now utilize 4KS' assets and specialist experience to drive the development of its own MAX BOX kiosks, launched earlier this year. The MAX BOX shares a number of similar applications to those developed by 4KS, together with other functions including an ATM that dispenses sales promotion vouchers, Felix's original ‘Everyone's A Winner' redemption vending system and other digital retail products.
