HONG KONG — Digital signage company 1-2-1View Corp. has been chosen to provide a turnkey digital signage system to The Royal Project in Thailand. The system will be used to help raise awareness of The Royal Project's initiatives in shops across the country.
Founded by Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1969, The Royal Project is an initiative designed to fight rural poverty and empower the Hilltribe people in Thailand's five northern provinces. The Royal Project shops sell products from the villages participating in the initiative.
1-2-1View's strategic partner Starhub Link will install the system together with a network of 42-inch plasma screens at 11 Royal Project outlets in Thailand, including Don Muang Airport, Chiang Mai Airport, Kasatsart University and the Golden Place at Hua Hin.
Running over an Internet protocol network provided by Thai telco-operator CAT Telecom, the system will broadcast the latest information and updates on the Royal Project's initiatives using video, graphics, flash animation, SMS and live broadcast.
"The Royal Project Foundation currently runs four research stations and 35 Development Centers caring for 295 villages," said Dr. Paitoon Ponsana, advisor to the Royal Project Foundation. "We chose 1-2-1View's system for its easy manageability and clear price-performance capability, which will enable The Royal Project to efficiently communicate project updates and progress to the wider community."
The screens are controlled by 1-2-1View's IPTV-based M205 integrated digital media players and centrally managed through the system's unique one-click-to-go Web-based management software to enable hassle-free scheduling and updating of content.
