• Redbox changes movie-watching behavior

Belleville News-Democrat: The low price and high convenience factor of Redbox movie rental kiosks — which dispense DVD rentals for $1 inside McDonald's locations — are changing the movie-watching habits of some frequent customers.

"Redbox came and just blew it away," said Rob Reardon of St. Louis. "Now I'm 100 percent on Redbox … you start watching the really sub-par movies. Maybe a direct-to-DVD science fiction film entitled 'Raging Sharks,' or a made-for-TV movie called 'Caved-In: Prehistoric Terror.' You pound on the magical Redbox screen looking for something that you haven't already watched."
