Will the Outstanding Achievement Awards replace the Kiosk Awards?
Yes, the Self-Service World Outstanding Achievement Awards are the new and improved Kiosk Awards.
Besides the name, in what other ways do the Outstanding Achievement Awards differ from the old Kiosk Awards?
The two differ in the following areas:
- Entered solutions must have been deployed before Jan. 1, 2006.
- Contact information is required for both solution supplier and deployer.
- Industry-specific categories.
- Entries are $150 each and payment must be received with the entry.
- A separate set of judges will evaluate Component I and Component III.
- This year each category will have a Gold, Silver and Bronze winner. Also, a Readers Choice Award and a Platinum Award will be presented.
None of the categories fit our solution. Can I still enter the Awards?
Yes! Check the "Other" category on the entry form. This category was created especially for solutions that do not fit into any of the industry-specific categories.
Our solution fits into several of the categories. How many can we enter?
Enter as many solutions in as many categories as you wish. Entries are $150 each.
Our solution has many deployers, how should I complete the entry form's "Deployer" information?
Select just one deployer. Keep in mind that the Awards are given based on a deployer's success with a solution.
What does "Other" mean on the entry form's item #4?
A third party (e.g., a public relations or marketing firm) entering a client into the Awards is an "Other."
I want to make sure my entry is complete. What should be in it?
Complete entries must contain an entry form (one per solution per category), payment, four copies of supporting materials, and a CD or DVD of high-resolution photos.
How do I know if my photos are "high resolution"?
Photos submitted with Awards entries must be of sufficient quality to be published in Self-Service World magazine. For this purpose, digital photos must be TIFF, JPG or PDF format files of at lest 300 dpi AND with finish print measurements of no less than 5"x7."
When are entries due and where should I mail them?
Entries must be snail-mailed to NetWorld Alliance c/o Outstanding Achievement Awards 2006 and received by 5:30 p.m. EDT, Friday, July 14. NetWorld's address is: 13100 Eastpoint Park Blvd., Louisville, KY 40223.
