LAS VEGAS — VeriFone Holdings Inc. announced at KioskCom April 11 that it will begin offering secure payment technology for developers of self-service kiosks.
The technology, Kiosk Solutions, includes a variety of secure payment software, and customer-facing payment devices enable kiosk deployers a secure computing platform to their customers.
"Self-service kiosks are increasingly being used to automate routine transactions that include consumer payments," said Bud Waller, executive vice president of integrated solutions. "At the same time, the card associations are adopting and enforcing strict security standards that can be a challenge to companies whose primary focus is not providing secure payment solutions. Kiosk developers can now partner with VeriFone and integrate Kiosk Solutions into their self-service applications to ensure compliance with payment industry security standards such as the Payment Card Industry's PED and Data Security Standards and Payment Application Best Practices."
