New Sheetz location centers around self-service

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Sheetz Inc. recently opened a 6,000-square-foot store along Route 51 in Belle Vernon, Penn. The store employs 35 to 45 workers, said Monica Jones, spokeswoman for the Altoona-based convenience-store chain.

The restaurant-style store can accommodate more than 40 people. Digital menu boards show food selections, which can quickly be ordered at electronic touchscreen kiosks. "The Belle Vernon location is our vision for the future," said Louis Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing, in a statement.
