LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kerry Bodine, a senior analyst for Forrester Research, will speak Feb. 13-14 in Orlando, Fla., about strategies to increase kiosk visibility, foot traffic and user comfort at the Self-Service & Kiosk Show.
Many companies focus so closely on kiosk hardware and software that they neglect the environment around the machines. As a result, otherwise healthy kiosks go unused because the space they're in is cramped, ill-lit, or simply off the beaten path. In her session, Bodine will summarize the latest research findings on the factors that help users find kiosks, get easy access to the machines and work comfortably once there.
Bodine is a senior analyst in Forrester's Customer Experience group. Her focus on self-service kiosks takes usability and design research beyond the screen and into the physical world. Prior to joining Forrester, Bodine was an interaction designer at BodyMedia, a developer of wearable body monitoring technology. In that role she conducted observational research to support a new medical device and designed software applications for the Web and mobile devices.
