The Age: Sydney is to be the first airport in Australia to offer a self-service check-in for international travelers. Sydney Airport has signed an agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and will offer the service as early as next year.

A self-service kiosk type-trial will be set up at the airport's international terminal followed by a staged rollout that could lead to significant growth in self-service availability, Sydney Airport said.
