ePaynews: By 2009, annual sales at vending machines in China will exceed $988 billion, a 94 percent increase over 2004 figures, and a total of 100,000 machines will be in use. As the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Shanghai World Expo approach, research firm Euromonitor expects cashless vending machines to fill the void left by small shops that disappear in the resulting modernization.
