Austrailian: Woolworths, owner of BIG W, plans to install up to 100 NCR self-checkout units in 20 new and refurbished stores. The retailer is installing the units, with six lanes per store, primarily to reduce lines during peak shopping hours.
 
The retailer began testing NCR's FastLane technology two years ago at Pagewood and Warringah Mall BIG W stores. BIG W has 120 stores Australia-wide.
