LAS VEGAS: The Department of Homeland Security, in conjunction with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, recently deployed 15 University of Metro Las Vegas computer kiosks throughout the department's command area. According to a news release, the kiosks, which were manufactured by SeePoint Technology, provide an access point to the department's online training center.
The kiosks are exclusively dedicated to providing training to local police department personnel, who would be among the first responders to a terrorist incident. Kiosks are installed in the LVMPD's seven police-area commands. Additionally, kiosks are located in the department's training centers.
