RFID Journal:  California 's proposed Identity Information Protection Act, introduced in February by Senator Joe Simitian, was approved by the Assembly Judiciary Committee last week in a 6-3 vote. However, a new amendment to bill SB 682 removed a ban on RFID in some identification documents and replaced it with a three-year moratorium.
