Finextra.com: Level Four Software, which provides ATM testing and development software, has launched ATM TrueTest, a standalone harness to test Windows-based NCR Corp.'s NDC and Diebold's 912 applications.
According to a news release, ATM TrueTest is an automated solution, not a simulation, that tests ATM applications. ATM TrueTest is part of Level Four's flagship ATM Channel Development Suite and uses XFS open standards to simulate all ATM hardware devices.
The majority of banks use pre-packaged "off the shelf" ATM application software, rather than developing programs in-house. That means banks need the capability for rapid and repeatable testing prior to deployment.
ATM TrueTest provides banks with that capability through automated testing of ATM software releases.
It also is a standalone testing solution.
"We understand the business and technical requirements of financial institutions and have responded by evolving our proven products to meet market demand," said Martin Macmillan, Level Four Software's chief executive.
