ATLANTAÂ — Video Display Corp. announced in a news release that it has signed an agreement to acquire the Innovative Display Systems division of Three-Five Systems. Innovative Display systems, formerly known as Advanced Video Technologies, specializes in flat panel, touchscreen and rack-mount systems with custom military, industrial and commercial requirements.
Video Display Corp. chief executive officer Ron Ordway said, "The acquisition of AVT is a perfect fit for our Aydin Display division. It brings to VDC knowledgeable industry professionals along with several innovative new products which mesh beautifully with VDC's existing product offerings."
Video Display Corporation designs, develops and manufactures display solutions for military, medical and industrial use with emphasis on high-end training and simulation applications. The company operates 11 display design and manufacturing plants plus eight sales facilities throughout the United States and Europe.
