MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO — Signifi Solutions Inc. has licensed Athentech Technologies Inc.'s Perfectly Clear image correction technology for use in its QuickPIX photo-finishing kiosk software, according to a news release.
Under the agreement, Perfectly Clear is implemented in all Signifi QuickPIX photo kiosks. Perfectly Clear is a patented technology that automatically optimizes the lighting for each and every pixel while maintaining true color and never clipping. Perfectly Clear also utilizes unique medical imaging technology to provide photographs with optimal contrast and sharpening.
“QuickPIX has a very streamlined workflow with one-touch editing. Athentech’s Perfectly Clear allows us to meet our objectives by letting QuickPIX customers auto-correct their digital photos quickly to ensure perfect prints every time,” said Signifi president Shamira Jaffer. “For QuickPIX retailers, this means users won’t tie up the kiosk correcting their photos, resulting in higher print volumes and happier customers.”
“We performed thorough testing of several different image enhancement technologies, and found Perfectly Clear to be the fastest and easiest to implement with true and accurate color reproduction. We were also impressed that it can process camera phone images without the need to analyze meta data,” said Leslie Persaud, Signifi’s director of product management.
