NEC unveils self-service patient admissions and release application
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — NEC Solutions has announced PersonalPass, an automated patient admissions and patient identification solution designed specifically for hospital systems and health care facilities. According to a news release, NEC's PersonalPass integrates with existing hospital information systems and physician practice management systems to make the admission and release processes more convenient for patients, while reducing administrative costs and liability for health care organizations. PersonalPass offers several modules that work in conjunction to solve common health care challenges, including improving patient identification, eliminating duplicate medical records, streamlining workflow, reducing wait times and decreasing redundant data entry. NEC's PersonalPass enhances the patient experience through self-service applications that help create a consistent user experience at the hospital and at the physician's office. The NEC PersonalPass solution works with a variety of hardware, including kiosks, desktops and Tablet PCs.
