Six Flags tests Deploy Solutions at theme parks

WESTWOOD, Mass. — Deploy Solutions, a premier provider of applicant tracking, recruiting and talent optimization solutions for large companies with multiple worker types, announced recently that Six Flag s has signed a service agreement to roll out Deploy Solutions' human resources management tools across all of its theme and water parks in the United States. Six Flags used Deploy at two of their theme park locations to see how well the system would work for them. The tests were conducted at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, and Six Flags AstroWorld in Houston. Based on the results, the solution was presented to the Six Flags corporate management team for use at their parks across the country. An initial implementation of Deploy tools for maximizing performance in recruiting, hiring and retaining staff at Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags AstroWorld provided quantifiable results of the system's capability for increasing applicant flow, prescreening candidates, and reducing employee turnover, terminations, and theft issues, while lowering hiring costs associated with advertising positions and interviewing candidates. Employing Deploy's Web-based and kiosk-based recruiting strategies, the Houston park experienced a 73 percent rise in applicants from 2003 to 2004. Pre-employment screening and assessment applications saved the Houston park over 1,550 hours of interview time by effectively screening out non-qualified applicants. Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington experienced similar successes. Both parks experienced significant declines in turnover. The Arlington park also reported terminations for negative reasons were cut nearly in half while Houston attributed an increase in park compliments due to improved employee attitude and morale.
