• TechTrans launches kiosk logistics program

SOUTHLAKE, Texas — Technical Transportation Inc. supports manufacturers of self-service kiosk machines with a specialized logistics program. According to a news release, the program is designed to maximize the time that a kiosk is in place, in use and generating revenue.

TechTrans’ services for the kiosk industry include "white glove" transportation and logistics support from the manufacturer to the end-user. Multi-person crews execute inside deliveries, unpack, place, install and test equipment to confirm its operation.

"Manufacturers of specialized equipment like kiosks expect careful handling from crews delivering and installing new machines," said Len Batcha, president of Technical Transportation. "TechTrans has more than 12 years of experience handling expensive, heavy and sensitive equipment. Our specially trained crews deliver, install and test kiosks and post complete reports online so the manufacturer knows the equipment is up and running properly."

As a single source provider of third-party logistics services, TechTrans has a nationwide network of agents and technicians. Services include pre-arranged, time specific delivery appointments, air ride transport, assembly and disassembly.

"Installation is completed with minimum disruption within the facility where the kiosk is located and care is taken to prevent damage to the site as well," said Batcha. "In addition, TechTrans supplies any special equipment that may be required, such as lift gates, cranes or rigging, to complete a delivery."

TechTrans also offers short-term warehousing and inventory control, and management and logistics support for demonstration kiosks that are used at multiple locations for sales demos. Expedited delivery service from TechTrans satisfies just-in-time delivery specifications to meet market demands. TechTrans can also manage reverse logistics for asset recovery and warranty swap outs.

In addition, the company utilizes a comprehensive set of technology tools online at www.techtrans.com. These include online waybill, inventory control, the demonstration equipment management program, customer service and support and detailed, customizable reports on shipments. Customers can track shipments using the waybill number, serial number, date, origin or consignee and can access proof of delivery information, including consignee, delivery time and setup confirmation.
