MAUI, Hawaii and BELLEVUE, Wash. — Expedia, Inc. launched its new Expedia!fun brand with 36 kiosks in Hawaii, according to a news release. The 36 kiosks include those acquired through the acquisition of Activity World in March 2004.
Expedia!fun provides travelers with a physical location for booking vacation activities, tours and attractions during their trip. The brand launch is an evolution of Expedia's continued commitment to helping travelers with every part of their trip, whether in the planning or purchase process or, now, while consumers are at their destination.
In Hawaii alone last year, Expedia sent 150,000 people to luaus, 100 couples to the altar, and 37,000 people on helicopter tours of the islands.
With the Expedia!fun kiosks, customers now have the option of purchasing these attractions and services during their trip by visiting one of 36 hotel and resort locations on the Big Island, Maui, Oahu and Kauai. Participating hotels also have the opportunity to pass on special savings or reward guests with certificates that can be redeemed at the Expedia!fun desks.
