AME Info: The United Arab Emirates' RAKBANK is installing ATMs, manufactured by Wincor Nixdorf, that not only allow customers to withdraw funds but to deposit cash directly without the use of envelopes. The customers will see their money being counted and registered on-line in their accounts.
The service is available at RAKBANK's main branch in Dubai and at Gold Souk Branch in Deira. It accepts up to 400 UAE currency notes of specific denominations per transaction. The machines also accept cash for credit card payments.
"The implementation of this technology by RAKBANK, represents yet another move by the bank to underline our commitment to being both customer focused and tech savvy," said Murray Sims, RAKBANK's head of Personal Banking. "The initiative, which will expand to our other branches, is in keeping with our philosophy of offering customers the best products and ultimate quality service."
The machines are supplied and supported by Computer Network Systems (CNS), a systems integrator and solutions provider.
