LEXINGTON, Texas — UK-based ATM distributor Access 2 Cash has been awarded European distribution rights to sell Dash ATM through-the-wall exterior ATM enclosures.
The enclosures can be used for either drive-up or walk-up ATMs.
Rob McCutcheon, CEO of Access 2 Cash, said the enclosures represent a "massive potential" for UK ATM deployers.
"The UK is now reaching a point where an indoor freestanding ATM is commonplace. The problem with free-standing units is their limited availability to public access," McCutcheon said. "Bank through-the-wall ATMs in the UK average around 6,000 to 8,000 cash withdrawals per month; your average indoor freestanding ATM averages around 450 cash transactions per month. Straight away, it is clear that a well-positioned 24-hour access ATM will increase independent deployers' monthly transaction levels."
He added, "We are actively seeking opportunities across the whole of Europe to open up this market place. Although the 'drive in' cinema has never taken off over here, the 'drive-in' ATM certainly will."
