SEATTLE and PERTH, Australia — Veridicom International and Optimiser Pty Ltd formed a joint venture aimed at opening the entertainment industry to the next generation of digital distribution. The joint venture combines Veridicom's recently launched VKI, a secure flash memory drive with enterprise user authentication capabilities and Optimiser's Digital Management software. The new device will allow users to download and pay for content at a wide variety of remote locations based on users' individually defined preferences. The device will allow only the purchaser of the content to access and open the entertainment files. Dubbed "The Key to Entertainment," this new device will be available during the second quarter of 2005.
"This is the solution that the entertainment industry has been waiting for since the Internet became commonplace. With the joint venture's device and technology digital files can be sold directly to consumers without the content owner (entertainment companies) fearing unauthorized copying or distribution," stated Paul Mann, CEO of Veridicom.

Not only can we handle billions of discrete transactions, we can create an unlimited number of payment programs to support sales and rental of content whether by time or quantity," stated Leo Mullins, CEO of Optimiser.
