MALVERN, Penn. — USA Technologies generated a record 2005 first quarter, ended September 30, 2004 for its Business Express product line, just weeks after announcing record revenues for fiscal year 2004. In a press release, USA Technologies reported Business Express revenues of $513,000, representing in excess of $250,000 in equipment sales in addition to network services and revenue sharing fees, which accrue to the company over time. The company reported the installation of 20 new locations over the period.
"We owe it to significant new interest from hotels, apartment buildings, and other high density locations interested in offering their guests, tenants and visitors 24/7 self-serve office services," said Cecil Ledesma, VP and channel manager of travel and hospitality, USA Technologies.
"The whole idea behind Business Express is to give business travelers convenient access to the latest information technology and Internet connectivity when on the road, and to take the burden off hotel front desk staff. Instead of asking the front desk to send or copy what sometimes might be confidential information, travelers can do it themselves, at any time, day or night," said Ledesma. USA Technologies Business Express offerings include everything from the low priced Business Express SpaceSaver that can fit into a 6 foot by 6 foot space, to the full-service Business Express offering, with multiple computers, fax, high-speed copiers and laptop printing stations. All Business Express products come fully installed, including a turnkey banking relationship, and 24/7 customer support.
