ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. — HECON, part of Danaher Corporation, is introducing its new C-56 thermal receipt printer, which includes a 220 millimeters-per-second (8.6 inches per second) print speed and a USB interface, according to a news release. The C-56 also includes a patented tear bar assembly that prevents vandals from pulling the paper out of the printer, which is ideal for kiosks and other unattended receipt-printing applications, the release added.
The C-56 transmits bar codes, logos and other graphic images, allowing the printer to be used for varied applications, including printing simple receipts like coupons and tickets.
Other features of the C-56 include 58 to 60 millimeter-wide paper stock, 200 dpi resolution, a wide temperature range, an internal bar code generation, and a simple, "no tools needed" printer mechanism replacement, according to the release.
