GLENDALE, Calif. — FutureLogic disclosed numerous patent filings on several hardware and software products for thermal printers. Most of the patents were for feature and option enhancements to the PSA-66-ST2 GEN2, the company’s next-generation thermal printer for cashless gaming applications.
The premier patent now pending is for GEN2 itself, an enhanced-functionality successor to the company’s PSA-66-ST cashless ticket printer. The GEN2 device offers many new options and features — all fully developed and in various stages of approval at the U.S. Patent Office. One of the key GEN2 standard features now under evaluation is ITH — FutureLogic’s Intelligent Ticket Handling system that ensures ticket availability only after it has been fully printed internally and automatically burst.
Other GEN2-related patent-pending technologies include:
• PromoPort Architecture — dedicated promotional printing port
• ProMatrix Technology — promotional matrix couponing system
• TRT (Tamper Resistant Ticket) — detects and eliminates counterfeit tickets
