Airline waives ticket fee for kiosk customers

Houston -- Continental Airlines has begun charging service fees for tickets booked via its reservations centers and airport ticket counters in the U.S., but is not charging a similar fee for tickets purchased at airport self-service kiosks.

A $5 fee will apply on tickets purchased via Continental's U.S. reservations centers, and a $10 fee will apply on tickets purchased at a U.S. airport ticket counter. The $10 service fee at city ticket offices remains unchanged. Fares booked through the company's Web site do not incur the fee.
