Business World: The dispute at Brinks Allied is expected to worsen on Aug. 23 as workers begin strike action after talks aimed at resolving a dispute over work practices broke down last week. SIPTU members will picket the company's headquarters at Clonshaugh, Dublin. The strike will further disrupt cash-in-transit services provided by Brinks on Ireland's east coast, as supervisors who have been filling in for workers will not pass pickets. However, the Irish Payment Services Organisation (IPSA) has said it expects ATM services will be maintained at current levels despite the strike. Brinks Allied drivers have been off the road since late July, when the company attempted to introduce new vehicles and security procedures.
