WATFORD, United Kingdom — Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka (CKB), the leading bank in the Republic of Montenegro, has licensed three software products from ACI Worldwide (Nasdaq: TSAI).
According to a news release, CKB has licensed BASE24-atm and BASE24-pos to process transactions from its ATMs and point-of-sale terminals. CKB previously outsourced its transaction processing to an independent service provider but wanted to bring the capability in-house to gain increased control over delivery and improve time to market for new solutions.
Using BASE24-atm and BASE24-pos, CKB will be able to deploy new functionality and card products, including support for EMV and multi-currency capability, and reducing the risks
associated with credit and debit card fraud.
BASE24 will operate on HP "NonStop" servers.
CKB has also deployed the ACI Card Management System to manage its cardholder base of 50,000 cards, with plans to double its portfolio during 2004. The Card Management System is a complete plastic card system that will enable CKB to issue cards, maintain account information, track card usage and set ATM/POS transaction limits. It will also be used to provide PIN processing, card production and online enquiries, and reporting.
