CLEVELAND—KeyCorp’s recent addition of four FIs to its shared network of surcharge-free ATMs pushed the firm to the 100-member mark.
According to the Dayton Business Journal, the four new FI members are Workman's Circle Credit Union of Cheektowaga, N.Y., Kenton Federal Credit Union of Tonawanda, N.Y., North Salem State Bank of Salem, Ind., and Cutting Edge Federal Credit Union of Milwaukie, Ore.
Customers of those FIs now have fee-free use of all KeyBank ATMs. The banks pay KeyCorp an undisclosed fee for each transaction made at its ATMs.
"Since we began our agent bank program several years ago, we've seen it grow quickly in acceptance, as more banks and credit unions look for ways to enhance customer service and provide their customers and members with greater access to their accounts," said Sarah Grotta, senior vice president of the company's consumer payment sales unit.
KeyCorp operates 2,200 ATMs throughout the U.S. and provides access to 900 more ATMs in Southeastern states through a program with SouthTrust Bank.
