DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Mosaic Software has signed a referral agreement with Trusted Security Solutions (TSS), the developer of the A98 ATM Initial Key Establishment System, to help Postilion customers meet industry requirements for Triple DES and unique initial key per ATM.
Mosaic's Postilion A98 interface enables customers to automatically update the keys in the Postilion database to correspond to the A98 keys established at the ATM. This eliminates labor-intensive key management tasks while still maintaining full compliance, according to a news release.
In addition, the A98 platform will enable Mosaic Software customers to take advantage of the latest ATM technology for remote re-keying of terminals using public key cryptography. The upcoming A98-R remote key module implements both the Certificate Based Protocol (CBP) used by Diebold ATMs and the Signature Based Protocol (SBP) used by NCR ATMs.
Mosaic's Postilion A98 interface is already in production and is available to new and existing customers. Mosaic's interface for the A98 Remote Key will be available later this quarter.
"Our joint efforts with Mosaic Software will ensure that financial services organizations with any number of ATMs can bring their networks into compliance, greatly simplify operations and achieve dramatic cost reduction," said TSS President Dennis "Abe" Abraham.
No ATM or host application software changes are required to use the A98 system, Abraham added.
