MONTROUGE, France--Thermal printer manufacturer, Axiohm, announced the launch of its new ticket printer mechanism, which features a thick paper printing capability of up to 7.5 mills. The company’s press release states that the new ticket printer mechanism covers a wide range of ticketing applications from theatres, theme parks, sporting/live events, box offices, to transportation tickets.
According to the release, TA/TB is the ideal solution for the highly demanding market of entertainment and transportation tickets because transaction time is crucial when there is a question of long queues at ticket selling points, such as box offices or mass attractions.
The TA/TB series with its Optiboard controller board has been designed to reach a 130mm/s printing speed and a mechanical reliability of 150 km. It also has an integrated auto cutter life of 1 million cuts and a rugged design.
AXIOHM also states that with this printer mechanism, you can chosoe between various Top of form sensors (for black mark detection) and paper roll positions so that the TA/TB can be fully adapted to the customer ticketing system design. It is available either with a reliable and silent cutter version (TA/TB) for more luxury applications or in standard version (DA/DB) for pre-cut fanfold tickets of up to 82.5mm width.
