SAN FRANCISO—Two new Tiger brand open frame touchscreen computers have been developed by DFI Technologies, Inc.
According to a news release, they are the KS-440, with the Intel Mobile Pentium 4 Processor, and the KS-450 with the Intel Pentium-M Processor for low power applications. Each can be integrated into any OEM (original equipment manufacturers) application enclosures and designed as small footprint desktop or wall-mount panel PCs.
The KS-450 touchscreen computer is based on a highly integrated DFI motherboard with an Intel Pentium-M Processor, and system memory that can support up to 2 GB DDR SDRAM using high-density 512 mbit technology.
"This provides plenty of power for demanding interactive multi-media applications while keeping power consumption and heat output down," said David Lu, president of DFI Technologies, in the release.
The integrated modular 15" LCD touch screen is powered by the Intel 855GME chipset with built-in 3D support. The KS-450 comes equipped with features that a system integrator uses to design industrial applications; these range from factory automation systems to point-of-information kiosks.
Founded in 1984 in Sacramento, DFI Technologies, Inc. serves the industrial automation, medical, gaming, arcade, kiosk, point-of-information and other markets.
