TORONTO, Mass.—enTrac Technologies and Boston Communications Group Inc. have joined to offer prepaid wireless top-up at self-serve kiosks.
The combined technologies of the bcgi Payment Services Platform and enTrac's ExpressPay System will allow wireless subscribers to purchase EPTopUp PINs or recharge their prepaid accounts at retail locations throughout the United States, according to a press release.
"The partnership is a win for both companies," said Gary Leng, enTrac president and CEO. "Our in-store ExpressPay System provides improved access and opportunity for topping up prepaid accounts using cash, credit cards or the retailer's charge card. The joint solution enables a broad distribution channel for wireless carriers to provide top-up access to their subscribers."
The Yankee Group recently reported that prepaid growth will reach 27 million subscribers by 2007 and that 62 percent of current prepaid airtime top-ups are cash -based.

enTrac Technologies Inc., headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, develops and integrates software and hardware for card-based access, control and billing of equipment and point-of-sale systems. The ExpressPay System has been developed for use in self-serve environments in markets such as office supply stores, hotels, and copy centers.
Boston Communications Group Inc. of Woburn, Mass., is involved in transaction processing solutions for real-time wireless subscriber management, payment services, billing and customer care.
